This is the best and easiest air fryer peaches recipe ever! All you need are three basic ingredients and your air fryer to make these tender, juicy peaches that are beautifully caramelized with cinnamon sugar.

I love using the air fryer because it's so versatile. You really can cook almost anything in the air fryer: smashed potatoes, baby carrots, chicken nuggets, and so on. And, fruit is no exception! The air fryer does a beautiful job of caramelizing the tops of these cinnamon sugar-topped peaches, while the insides get so nice and juicy.

Even better, this air fryer peach recipe is so special because of its simplicity! All you need are three basic ingredients and fifteen minutes, start to finish. Top it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and you will be in peachy heaven!

    Ingredient notes

    • Peaches: you can use any variety of peaches you like, but go for peaches that are ripe but not too ripe. They should yield only slightly to gentle pressure. Here is a great guide on different types of peaches!

    Step by step photos

Here's a step by step breakdown on how to make this easy recipe for air fryer peaches. If you would like to see these steps in a slideshow, check out my air fried peaches web story!

    1. The first step is to mix up the cinnamon sugar topping. All you need to do is stir together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a small dish. Set the cinnamon sugar aside for now.

(Now is also a good time to start the air fryer preheating, you only need about 3 - 5 minutes of preheating time.)

cinnamon being added to small dish of granulated sugar.
small white spoon stirring together cinnamon and sugar in small dish.

    2. Next, cut the peaches in half vertically. Gently twist apart each half of the peach to separate it into two pieces. Then, remove the pits and discard them.

    3. Now, sprinkle the cinnamon sugar topping over the cut surface of each peach half. If you need a little help getting an even layer of the sugar, you can use a clean finger to spread it out a little more.

    4. And now we are ready to put the peaches in the air fryer! Place the peach halves into the preheated air fryer, cut side up. Spread them out evenly in the air fryer basket.

Let them cook for 8 - 10 minutes, or until the tops are bubbly and browned, and the peaches are tender.

    Tips and tricks

    • A little bit of the cinnamon sugar and peach juice may drip onto the cooking surface of the air fryer. To make cleaning easier, you can wash the air fryer basket before the sugar fully hardens. You can also spray the air fryer with cooking oil before adding the peaches if desired.
    • Alternatively, you can line air fryer with a sheet of parchment paper that you pre-cut to the size of the bottom of the air fryer basket. Only add the parchment paper lining after the air fryer has been preheated, right before adding the peaches.
    • The air fryer makes it really convenient to check on the food; all you need to do is pull out the basket to take a quick peek. So when making the recipe for the first time, don't be afraid to check on their progress during the cook time to get the perfect amount of browning.
    • As long as you know the ingredient ratios, you can make as many or as few air fried peaches as you like (if you want to make a lot, work in batches!). For each whole peach, you will need 1 teaspoon sugar and a pinch of cinnamon.

    Serving suggestions

This air fryer peach recipe is so easy to dress up in a bunch of different ways! Here are some ideas on how to garnish the peaches and what to serve them with.

    Garnish ideas:

    • fresh herbs (such as mint, thyme, or even basil!)
    • a touch of flaky sea salt; and/or
    • a drizzle of honey for some extra sweetness.

    Try serving the peaches with:

    • vanilla ice cream
    • a slice of pound cake or angel food cake (or a vanilla muffin!)
    • a dollop of whipped cream; or
    • plain or vanilla yogurt.

    Recipe variations

    • Feel free to add a small pinch of other warm spices to the cinnamon sugar mixture. Nutmeg, cloves, ginger, and allspice would all taste delicious!
    • For a crunchy topping, add a sprinkle of chopped nuts to the tops of the peaches halfway through cooking.
    • You can also experiment with using other stone fruit in place of the peaches, such as nectarines, plums, or apricots. If using a smaller fruit such as apricots, be sure to reduce the cook time accordingly.

    Storage and reheating

    • The air fryer peaches can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 - 4 days.
    • To reheat, you can microwave the peach(es) in a microwave-safe bowl for 30 - 60 seconds on high, or until warmed through.
    • Or, you can air fry the leftover air fried peaches in a preheated 350 degree F air fryer for 1 - 2 minutes, or until warmed through.

    Recipe FAQs

    Can I use frozen peaches?

I don't recommend using frozen peaches for this air fryer peach recipe. They will be too soft and moist to hold their shape and caramelize well in the air fryer.

Can I freeze air fryer peaches?

Yes, you could freeze the peaches after air frying. But, the peaches will become very soft after they are defrosted. You could then treat them similar to stewed peaches, and serve them on yogurt or oatmeal!

How do I know when the peaches are done?

The air fried peaches are done when the tops are browned to your liking and the peaches themselves are tender. This will depend on how ripe the peaches are and your own personal tastes. The cook times will also vary based on your own air fryer.

So, don't be afraid to take some quick peeks during the cook time, and if you think the peaches need a little more time, check again after 1 - 2 more minutes. You can check on how soft the peaches are getting by piercing them with a fork.

This is the easiest recipe for air fryer peaches ever! You only need 3 basic ingredients and 15 total minutes to make this no-fuss peach dessert. The peaches are topped with cinnamon sugar and air fried, getting nicely browned on top and super juicy on the inside!

    • Author: Kate
    • Prep Time: 5 minutes
    • Cook Time: 10 minutes
    • Total Time: 15 minutes
    • Yield: 3 servings 1x
    • Category: dessert
    • Method: air fry
    • Cuisine: American
    • Diet: Gluten Free

    Ingredients

    Scale
    • 3 peaches (see note 1)
    • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
    • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon

    Instructions

    1. Preheat the air fryer at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 3 - 5 minutes (see note 2). While the air fryer is preheating, continue on with the following steps.
    2. Mix together the cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl. Set aside.
    3. Cut each peach in half vertically. Gently twist apart each peach into two halves. Remove the pits and discard.
    4. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar over the cut surface of each peach half. If needed, use a clean finger to help spread the cinnamon sugar to create an even layer.
    5. When the air fryer is preheated, place the peaches into the air fryer cut side up, spaced evenly apart. Air fry the peaches for 8 - 10 minutes, or until the sugar has caramelized and the peaches are tender.

    Notes

    1. For best results, use peaches that are moderately ripe (meaning not too hard or too soft). The peaches should give only slightly to gentle pressure.

    2. The amount of preheating time needed will depend on your model of air fryer. For specific preheating instructions, check your air fryer manual.

    3. A small amount of the cinnamon sugar and peach juice may drip onto the cooking surface of the air fryer. For me, this was easy enough to wash off using a soft-bristle dish brush. But, if you want to make cleanup a little easier, you can either: (1) spray the air fryer with cooking oil right before adding the peaches; (2) line the air fryer with a piece of parchment paper pre-cut to fit the bottom of the air fryer basket. Add it right before adding the peaches (after preheating); or (3) just wash the air fryer basket before the sugar fully hardens!

I made the air fryer peaches and they were delicious. My only disappointment was that I didn’t have vanilla ice cream to put on top.
