Cabbage & Sausage Soup

This soup is easy to make with simple ingredients. It freezes and reheats well - great for meal prep! 

Here are the ingredients you need to make the cabbage and sausage soup:

Cabbage Kielbasa Carrots Onion Garlic Tomato paste Broth Butter Dried thyme Bay leaf Salt Pepper

Step one: prep the produce (chop the cabbage, onion and garlic, peel and slice the carrots).

Step two: slice the kielbasa on an angle, about 1/3 (8.5 mm) thick

Step three: heat the butter in a large pot, and once the butter is foamy, brown the kielbasa in the butter.

Step four: add the onions and garlic and continue to cook for 2 - 3 minutes.

Step five: add the tomato paste, dried thyme and black pepper. Stir and cook for 1 more minute.

Step six: add the cabbage, carrots, bay leaf and broth. Stir and bring to a simmer.

Step seven: once the carrots and cabbage are tender, taste the soup and season with salt and pepper to taste! Enjoy!
