Recipe ingredients: 1. cabbage 2. ham 3. onion 4. apple 5. garlic 6. broth 7. salt & pepper 8. celery salt 9. apple cider vinegar 10. butter (optional)

Step 1: Add the chopped cabbage, apple, onion, and garlic to a 6-quart (or larger) crock pot.

Here's how to make the ham and cabbage!

Step 2: Chop the ham into bite-sized pieces and add them to the crock pot with the cabbage and other produce.

Step 3: Add the broth, apple cider vinegar, salt & pepper, and celery salt. Stir everything together to combine the ingredients together.

Step 4: After stirring the cabbage and ham, press the ingredients down gently to settle the ingredients back into the crock pot.

Step 5: Dot the top of the dish with butter, if desired (this step is optional but gives a nice richness to the cabbage!).  Add the lid and cook on high for 4 hours, or low for 8.

Step 6: After the cabbage and ham are done cooking, give it a stir. Season the cabbage with a little more salt and pepper if needed!

- leftovers will keep in the fridge for 3 - 4 days. - leftovers also freeze well for 2 - 3 months. - avoid lifting the lid while cooking, it will slow down cooking!
